On October 20, 2024, a U.S. special operations drone flying ISR over Syria at ~20,000 ft observed a odd shaped white light — called "plasma" — that flashed across its camera feed five times over 45 minutes from varying angles and directions. The crew ruled out lasing (hostile targeting) but couldn't identify the source. It was rated benign with no mission impact. There are three videos of this UAP report. Irregular and transient visual anomalies appear near the upper portion of the frame, including an indistinct multi-colored shape moving laterally, followed by areas of irregular brightness and color—primarily white with red highlights—that briefly expand into a horizontally oriented, semi-oval form. Additional segments show short-lived semi-transparent orange overlays. Redactions were applied to protect sensitive operational and location details, and the material is presented as observational data without any confirmed interpretation of the phenomenon’s nature or cause.
