A 2023 U.S. Central Command report submitted to AARO describes a 24-second infrared video (DoW-UAP-D35) of an unidentified anomalous phenomenon observed near the ocean surface on the coastline. The mission report characterizes the object as small, circular, and moving from over water toward land. In the footage, the sensor zooms in at about 2 seconds to focus on an area of contrast, then tracks it steadily from roughly 3 to 19 seconds as it moves across the ocean background. At around 20 seconds, as the scene shifts from ocean to land, the object becomes indistinguishable from the background and is no longer clearly trackable. The report provides a descriptive account of the sensor data and does not identify what the object was or draw conclusions about its nature.
